I can’t tell you how many I speak to that don’t believe they will ever be able to buy a home on their own. They don’t really understand how credit scores work, so they avoid the subject of credit and miss out on the opportunities that are available to them now. Here’s one of the biggest opportunities of our time. Interest rates are at the lowest in 70 years. This means the ability to buy a home today with below 4% interest rates is life changing.

If you don’t know how credit scores work, you need to find someone who does. The big myth is that there is nothing you can do to fix your credit. Another myth is that you have to go and spends thousands getting your credit restored. I will tell you that there are some people who need credit restoration, but most, like 90% only need some direction and a couple month plan to improve their credit score to the point where they can qualify for a mortgage at a sub 4% interest rate.
Many young couple want to buy a home, but one or the other has had some credit trauma in their past that keeps them from even looking at the possibilities. At least find out. Its my experience that 50% can qualify today…Right now without having to do anything to their credit.
